Learning How To Have a Prostate Orgasm
In this post, we’ll discuss the mechanics of my favorite prostate massagers, which are in my opinion the best male anal toys to be had. I’ll also run through my top 3 picks for the best prostate massager available on the market today.

To start your journey, you’ll need something that contours well to the body and prostate. While you can probably find a similar device on the market, I like the Aneros company because it gets me where I want to go.
When they started their business, the products were designed as prostate massagers to relieve symptoms of prostatitis primarily for use as a medical device. They weren’t trying to sell people on orgasms at all! But they soon realized that prostate massage has some well-documented benefits and this curious side effect…
How Prostate Massagers Work
The Prostate-Contacting Tip and Shaft
The tip and shaft of the Aneros fits snugly against the prostate. The shaft’s contoured design delivers targeted sensations along the length of the anal canal, an area unexpectedly rich in nerve endings. The massager tip exerts just the right level of pressure on the prostate for an effective massage, modulated solely by the anal sphincter and pelvic floor muscle contractions, eliminating the need for manual control. Hence, a hands-free experience.
The Perineal Pressure Tab
The pressure tab, often called the P-tab, offers external prostate stimulation by pressing against the perineal area. It also serves as a fulcrum, enhancing the internal massaging movements of the Aneros within the rectal cavity. It also prevents the toy from accidentally getting pulled into the rectum. This dual-action stimulation of the prostate and perineum amplifies the orgasmic experience, potentially leading to an intense “Super-O.”
Kundalini Stimulator
The Kundalini Stimulator, or K-tab in Progasm and all Trident series models, targets the “kundalini” point—an acupressure zone between the buttocks—for added tactile stimulation.
There’s a lot of engineering that went into this! Safe to say there was a bit more effort put into getting this right.
Setup For Success – Best Hands Free Prostate Massager
There are two style lines to be aware of. Here is a quick rundown of them.
Style 1 – Aneros Syn
The Syn models is a style of prostate massager that has a silicone exterior with a firm interior structure. It’s got a little give to it if you give it a good squeeze. My best description of the outside is a smooth, almost velvetty texture, and it makes it a lot more forgiving during insertion for those that are a little bit ‘tight’ back there.
I think this style is fantastic for beginners because it’s delicate, smooth, and is the least intrusive for those that are just starting out.
I recommend sticking to a water based lubricant to avoid damaging the silicone.
Style 2 – Aneros Trident
The Trident models differ from the Syn because the massager is a single mold solid piece of medical grade plastic. These are less forgiving and a little more intense because there is no flex in the massager.
Personally speaking, I went for the Progasm which is exclusively a Trident style toy (there is no syn variant of this toy). I had a good feeling this toy would hit my spot well (if you read page 1 of this site you’d know I measured!)
I also liked that I can use any lube I have on hand without worrying about it getting damaged. For super long sessions, it’s nice to use coconut oil and a towel on the bed and not have to reapply… but I digress.
The Best Prostate Massager for Beginners
Below are my picks for a beginner looking to buy their first massager. Before you take a look there are a few things to know about this brand.
- Their toys are the best shape for hitting the prostate in my experience.
- They are more like assets than toys, some of mine were bought in 2016 and they’re in mint condition.
- They ship using discrete boxes and labels. I was terrified my neighbors would see but it’s so generic looking you’d never guess by looking on the outside.
- I know that I saved a LOT of money in the long term. I would’ve bought everything available on Amazon if I hadn’t found these toys.
Aneros Helix Syn
The Helix Syn combines the popular Helix design with a velvety silicone coating, providing a comfortable and stimulating experience for prostate play. It is one of my favorite prostate toys because it is sized well for beginners. It’s actually so well sized that if you’re into anal play and decide to take a break for a few months and then get back into it — it’s so velvety smooth that it’ll pop right in with minimal discomfort and immediately settle in for a wild ride.
- For beginners
- Hands free, stays in
- Small size
Helix Syn
Aneros Eupho Syn
The Eupho Syn combines a slim design with a silicone exterior, making it an excellent choice for users looking for a subtle and comfortable prostate massage. While the Eupho looks very similar to the Helix, it is a bit more narrow than the Helix — and is in fact their smallest and most slim toy in their arsenal (and one of the slimmest prostate toys you’re going to find in general).
Personally speaking, I love this toy. Back before Aneros redesigned their website they advertised this as an ‘advanced’ toy, but it’s really good for beginners too. I believe they did that because it’s smaller and therefore is a little less intense than the Helix or the Progasm (more on this below!) but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. Because once you rewire your prostate to have anal orgasms like these — this toy is INCREDIBLE when used right. Think of it like the small, baby brother of the Helix and the Progasm. Definitely worth it!
- Smallest toy offered
- Super smooth
- Doesnt’ fall out, stays in place
Eupho Syn
Aneros Progasm
The Progasm is one of Aneros’s larger models, designed to provide both prostate and perineum stimulation simultaneously, delivering intense and powerful sensations.
When I first bought this toy I was shocked by its simplicity. It’s just a gorgeous, light weight toy, and since it’s made of plastic instead of silicone it doesn’t matter what lube you use with it. That’s a huge plus for some because you can generally use whatever is already on hand, but even better is that the toy is super durable for it! Silicone can wear down, or if it’s not carefully taken care of, can become sticky and more or less ruined if left in a drawer with other toys (they can have a negative chemical reaction). The Progasm has a bulbous head which rests directly on my prostate, and is responsible for the greatest orgasms of my life. This is a fantastic toy to start with, just be sure that you’re a little loosened up back there because it is one of the larger offerings. Some people love the fullness feeling, and this absolutely checks that box.
- Larger in size
- Made of hard plastic
- Can be used with any lube which is great for extended long sessions
- Super intense
